Benjamin David - Update

Hey all,

As most of you know I was interviewing for a job in Fort Wayne. We found out yesterday that I did not get the job. So the job hunt continues. We are doing fine, just needing to tighten the belt another notch. We are disappointed but still hopeful that something will come along.

We still have a few things up our sleeves, and we have each other which is the most important thing.

Classic "I told you so" moment

So today after Brennon's morning nap I took him into his room to get changed. I undressed him out of his PJs and took off his diaper. I decided to give him some naked time and sent him out of the room to find mommy. He walked down the hall and I hear from Des "Do I see a naked boy?" I then here her say "Ben! at least put a diaper on him." As she realized she truely did see a naked boy. I reply with the classic dad line "He will be fine." To which she answers "He is going to pee on the floor."

I then come in the room from Brennon's room to find him peeing on the step down into the computer room... I pick him up and put him behind Desiree's computer chair, which Des was sitting at. I grab a towel to soak up most of the evidence, and I hear more pee hitting the carpet. I look up to meet Des's eyes with tears in them. She was laughing so hard, and not helping at all.

As I cleaned up the mess I reseved several "I told you so" looks from Desiree, there was no need for her to say a thing.

First snow of 2008

Well it started snowing today. Brennon has been watching it out the window with fascination. I would love to bundle him up and take him out in it, but since he has recently been sick and still on anti-biotics we don't want to risk it. He will have plenty of time to play in the snow soon.

Family Update

Hey guys,

Sorry it has been a while since our last entry. We have been going through a lot as of late.

Desiree and Brennon have both been sick. Luckily they are both getting better! Desiree being pregnant means there are very few medicines she can take. So it has taken her a while to get better.

I had an interview on Wednesday at Fort Wayne Metals. We are very hopefully that things will pan out with it. So please spare a thought or a prayer to help us with it.

This weekend

We are heading to our folks this weekend. Going to spend Friday night with my parents and Saturday night with Desiree's. Looking forward to seeing them.

Brennon sent for his second hair cut earlier this week. Amazing how fast his hair grows. He did really good at the barbers.

Brennon Aloysius - Update

Well Brennon's vocabulary is growing. At his birthday party he used "da-da" for almost everything. Now that has changed to "ma-ma" for almost anything. But there are a few things that he has a good handle on.

"Bye-bye" is his bread and butter and has been for some time. "All done" has just started recently which is really nice for him letting us know when he has had enough to eat. He has also started signing a couple things, which they are working on at day care. "More" and "Please" both of which he will do with prompting, but not very often just on his own.

Logan Mark - Update

Hey Everyone,

Logan is as active as Brennon was in the womb. I can't believe how much he kicks, just think how Desiree feels. He is doing well, and we can't wait until he is born. Work will be starting soon getting his room setup.

My mom will be coming to stay with us in January to help out. We can't thank her enough for this, we are sure it will make bringing Logan into the world that much easier.

Brennon Aloysius - Peanut Butter Solution

Hey everyone,

Well Desiree and I decided to test Brennon for a peanut allergy. According to our doctor you are not supposed to give a child peanuts until they are at least one year of age. So we looked all over for a "safe" way to test and it ends up that you just give him some and if he has a reaction you take him to the ER. Luckily for us he had no reaction other then wanting more. So now we have added it to weekly diet.

Tough Economic Times

Hello all,

As you are all aware our country is currently in some very bleak economic times. Well as we hoping to not be effected but, we received a call today. It would seem the small business I was working to start is going to have be put on hold for a while until more funds can be put into it. Desiree and I ask that you all keep us in your thoughts as we work though this tough time together.

Luckily for us we have good friends and family to be there with their support and encouragement. We love you all.

Brennon Aloysius - Birthday Fun!

Hey everyone,

We had a great time hosting Brennon's first birthday party yesterday. We had good food and even better company. Brennon made professional work out of his cake! But as some of you know Desiree and my camera died about half way through the party. So we have some of the initial pictures but we missed the entire later half. Everything is ready...

Well we are all ready for the party, Brennon just woke up from a 2 hour nap so he should be good for the day. He had to be woken up because he was completely zonked out. Now he is running around in his pjs not wanting to get dressed for the party. I tried to convince Desiree that he could just were them since it is HIS party, but she will have none of it... Guess there is no big surpise there.

Brennon Aloysius - 1 year Doctor's Appointment

Hey everyone,

Brennon had his one year check up at the doctor's office. Everything checked out just fine. We found out that he is cutting even more teeth, he is currently at 8.

He has really started enjoying being read to, he will find a book and bring it to either Desiree or I and sit in our laps and just wait for us to read it. It is so much fun!

Happy Birthday Brennon!

That's right, hard to believe a whole year has past since Brennon was brought into our lives. Guess time flies when you are having fun. We are so excited for this weekend! Poor guy has to wait a whole week for his party, but we plan to make it worth his wait.

We all made it!

Well Desiree has returned to us after her few days in South Carolina. And Brennon and I were both still alive to greet her.

Sounded like things went well in SC other then a little wind. I will post a picture or two once we have gotten them off the camera.

Brennon and I had fun going to the park and doing a little bit of shopping over the course of the weekend. Trying to reach for a toy deep in his toy box he did lose his balance and end up in it. And we had a little incident with a dining room chair. But we are both no worse for wear.

Brennon Aloysius - First Hair Cut!

Tonight we took Brennon for his first hair cut. He did very well for Marla, who was a little nervous about cutting it for the first time. We couldn't have him all shaggy for his birthday, now could we? As you can see in the background he had the attention of all the ladies at the stylist.

This weekend's trip for Desiree

Hey Everyone,

This weekend Desiree is headed down to South Carolina for her eldest sister's wedding. She is flying out this Friday and returning on Sunday.

We send all our love to Jennifer and Harrold and hope for nothing but happiness in there lives together. We regret that Brennon and I will be unable to attend their wedding. The little guy and I will be holding down the home front and anxiously awaiting Desiree's return.

Hopefully she will take lots of pictures while she is there.

Family Update

We had a great weekend, the weather was beautiful here. Brennon got his first taste of the city park this weekend. He loved it, though he found playing with the wood chips more fun then we would have expected. He had to wait to go to the park until he was getting around well in shoes. And over the past couple weeks he has been doing great with them. The pitter patter of little feet has now been replaced with *clomp clomp*.

I felt Logan move for the first time yesterday. Just amazing, we can't wait to see him.

Logan Mark - Update

Well for starters as you can see we have settled on a name. We found out at 20 weeks that we were having another boy! We went back and forth on a couple names, but are now settled on Logan Mark Michael.

Des is doing pretty well, she has for the past couple weeks started to feel Logan kicking. She says he is most active during the evenings right before she goes to bed.

Brennon Aloysius - Update

So how is Brennon doing?!

In short he is doing great! He is now getting more accustom to walking in shoes. This was quite a hurdle he just enjoys running around bear footed. He is identifying words now, Mommy, Daddy, and Hug (my personal favorite). It is pretty neat now that if you say "Can you give Mommy a Hug?" he knows exactly what you mean and runs over to her.

He is doing well in daycare and sometimes doesn't want to come home because he is having so much fun playing with the other kids.

New Home

Hey all,

In an effort to blog more, we have started this new site. With our old one, it was very time consuming to add content. Here it is quick and easy to leave little updates so we can more easily share what is going on with us.
